I achieved my plan from last week, I have successfully completed my illustrations using CAD, I split them into categories which is clear from the layout of each page. I separated them by colour theme as the fabric influences were all quite similar. This way I was able to define my designs and also work into them further. From these illustrations, I was able to choose 6 designs which I felt were the strongest and best suited to my diffusion line. When choosing these designs, I was thinking about practicality, the intended season, colour, material, design itself and final product. I felt that these were important aspects to consider as there are many issues that could affect the design such as; environmental – weather, production & trends. I also needed to ensure that the designs I chose were coherent for the customer profile that I’ve created. Moving forward, I am going to begin the pattern cutting section of my design process, this will enable me to see any premature issues with my work and overcome them.
